Mubi Emir Applauds Universities’ Move to Expand Medicine, Engineering Programmes.

The Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, has applauded the leadership of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, and Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, for forging a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening academic excellence and advancing educational development in Adamawa State.
The commendation came when the management teams of both universities paid a courtesy visit to the Emir’s Palace in Mubi following the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), described as the first of its kind between the two state-owned institutions.
Speaking during the visit, the Vice-Chancellor of ADSU, Professor Augustine Clement, said the collaboration represents the fulfillment of a long-standing vision to enhance institutional growth and academic quality. He noted that the partnership would facilitate the introduction of specialized programmes such as Medicine and Engineering through the sharing of expertise, facilities, and academic resources. According to him, approval for resource verification has already been secured.
Also speaking, the Vice-Chancellor of MAU, Professor Ibrahim Umar, explained that the visit was to seek royal blessings and update the Emir on the progress of the partnership. He highlighted key areas of collaboration, including staff exchange programmes, shared library services, joint research initiatives, and other academic engagements.
Responding on behalf of the Emir, the Sadaukin Mubi, Alhaji Adamu Barkindo Lamorde, described the partnership as a significant milestone in the advancement of higher education in Adamawa State.
He commended the visionary leadership of both institutions and expressed confidence that the collaboration would deliver lasting benefits to students, staff, and the wider society.
