The Vice-Chancellor of Adamawa State University, Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, led Members of the University’s Management team on a courtesy visit to the Management of the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi.
Speaking during the visit, Prof. Clement said the primary purpose of the engagement was to strengthen the cordial relationship between the two institutions, particularly in the areas of campus security, academic collaboration, research, and other initiatives of mutual benefit.
The Vice-Chancellor described the visit as providential and emphasized the need for both institutions to work closely in addressing security challenges within and around their campuses. He stressed that the safety of students, staff, and the host community remains a shared responsibility and appealed to the Management of the Federal Polytechnic to join hands with Adamawa State University in promoting a peaceful and secure academic environment.
Prof. Clement further noted that closer collaboration between the two institutions would enhance educational development and create opportunities for knowledge sharing, innovation, and institutional growth.
In a swift response, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, Dr. Abdurrahman A. Ishiyaka, expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and his Management team for the visit. He commended the leadership of Professor Augustine Clement for fostering a spirit of partnership and cooperation among higher institutions in the state.
Dr. Ishiyaka assured the Vice-Chancellor of his administration’s commitment to sustaining and strengthening the existing relationship between the two institutions. He expressed confidence that the collaboration would contribute significantly to the advancement of education, the promotion of peace and security, and the overall development of Adamawa State and Nigeria.
The visit concluded with both Management teams reaffirming their commitment to building a stronger institutional partnership that will promote academic excellence, enhance security, and advance the shared goals of both institutions.
