It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Department of Business Administration, and Entrepreneurship, Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi. Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship is one of the great Department within the Faculty of Administration and Management Sciences in Adamawa State University, Mubi. The department is dedicated to training future business leaders through quality teaching, innovative research, and practical engagement with the realities of the business world. The Department offer well-structured undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive today’s dynamic and competitive global business environment.

Our curriculum is carefully designed in line with the National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmark which also align with global standards while also addressing local socio-economic realities.

With a team of experienced and committed staff, the Department foster a learning environment that encourages academic excellence, critical thinking, professional development, and ethical leadership. The Department is proud of the growing network of alumni making meaningful contributions across various sectors. About the Department

BRIEF ON THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Business Administration was originally called Department of Business Studies with other two (2) programmes under it (i.e. Accounting and Economics) when academic work commenced in the University during the 2002/2003 Academic Session. The desire of the Management of Adamawa State University to facilitate the development of individual programme resulted in the creation of a separate Department for Business Administration in the 2003/2004 Academic Session.

The Department was subsequently renamed Department of Business Administration. In 2019, the Department of Business Administration gave birth to two Departments comprising of Department of Banking and Finance, and Department of Marketing. The Department of Business Administration currently runs Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.

The Undergraduate programme leads to the Award of the B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Business Administration, and B.Sc. Entrepreneurship while the Postgraduate programmes leads to the award of the Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management Science with Banking and Finance, Management and Marketing as area of specialisation, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Ph.D. in Management Science with Banking and Finance, Management and Marketing as area of speciality.
