Driving Knowledge for Societal Transformation
The University Library started operation in 2003 to the university community and is the heart of the university activities. Its main goal is to fulfill the intellectual requirements of the academic staff, students, researchers and other University Community.
In order to achieve this goal, the Library over the years had strategically acquired materials to cover all programmes of the University as thus: Agriculture, Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences, Law, Administration and Management and other information resources on other fields of knowledge. The Library’s book collection as of now is 65, 644 volumes.
The Library has seven (7) distinct Divisions:
- Administration (Office of the University Librarian)
- Collection Development Division
- Technical Services Division
- Readers’ Services Division
- Serial Division
- E- Library
- Bindery/Printing Division
In order to liberalize library services to the university community, several faculty libraries are established in the various faculties namely: Faculty of Agriculture, Education, Administration and Management Sciences, Sciences, Law, Environmental, Arts, and Post-Graduate School libraries.
As a user, the library exists to serve you, therefore do not hesitate to approach any of the Library staff for any information you need.
Research Activities
ADSU’s research activities are on an upward trajectory, with numerous ongoing projects expected to yield groundbreaking discoveries. These cutting-edge research endeavors have attracted grants from TETFund. In addition to current projects, many research proposals are being processed for TETFund funding.
